Bethlehem’s Sunday morning Bible Class at 9 a.m. will be studying Concordia Publishing House’s “One God, many gods.” Our postmodern times are marked by multiculturalism and extreme toleration. Christians no longer need travel halfway around the world to encounter other faiths-people of those faiths are living next door, and using houses of worship in our neighborhood. “One God, many gods” is a Bible study resource for these times. Christianity and several other religious faiths are examined and compared with the goal of identifying the central teachings of each and provide some tools for we Christians who encounter people of other faiths. We have a compelling need to share Jesus Christ and the grace we have received with others. To a world with many gods, we can offer the blessing of faith in the one God who is the only Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier of all people who accept the in faith the truth of the Triune God. This is the truth that we cannot help but share.
